El Torrent was founded on a simple belief: light has the power to shape the way we experience a space. In Mieres, Girona, we have built a way of working focused on care, attention and understanding materials. Every piece is carefully designed and made with purpose, not as an end in itself but as a tool to improve how people live in a space. Our connection to our surroundings goes beyond geography. It influences how we think about design, how we work with materials, and how we create lighting that feels authentic, timeless and human. We combine craftsmanship with practical knowledge, how a piece will perform, how it will be experienced, and how it will stand the test of time. We believe the process is just as important as the final result, and every object reflects this approach. We are constantly testing, adjusting, and learning. Rather than following shortlived trends, we focus on creating lighting with lasting value. Light for us is more than function, it creates atmosphere, shapes experiences, and supports everyday life.Over time, El Torrent has broadened its perspective. What started as a local, hands-on practice has grown into a brand with an international outlook. We see design as a language that can connect different cultures and ways of living. Our approach now goes beyond individual objects. Lamps are part of a larger system: they create spaces, define moods, and influence how people inhabit them. We work in the balance between past and present, between what we know and what we are discovering. Craftsmanship meets technology. Intuition meets precision. Local experience meets a global context. Every collection is a conversation between disciplines, people, and environments. We focus on coherence and usability over novelty. We see design as a way of thinking about life. We want objects that make sense in real spaces, that are functional and flexible, and that bring calm and clarity rather than drawing attention to themselves. Materials should be honest and age well. Forms should be clear and intuitive. Details should matter, but quietly. Light should accompany, not impose. It should define space without dominating it. It should create atmosphere naturally. El Torrent looks forward with the goal of building a consistent, open language. One that works across cultures, spaces, and lifestyles, without losing its original focus or quality. In the end, we don’t just design light. We design how that light is experienced in everyday life. All types of decorative luminaires that adapt to any spacethanks to your artistic materials and finishes. An inspiring environment, at the heart of nature, produces the most innovative designs. Our lamps are handmade with total dedication,as required by the most exclusive projects and combinations.Source: Official company profile
